GRT Jewellers, also known as G R Thanga Maaligai, is a family owned professionally run jeweller based in Chennai, India. The company was established in 1964 in T-Nagar, Chennai, by G Rajendran. GRT currently has a workforce of over 8000 people and 50 jewellery showrooms across India, Dubai and Singapore.

History
GRT began their operations in 1964, opening a small storefront in the shopping hub of T-Nagar in Chennai (formerly Madras). In subsequent years, under the reigns of G Rajendran’s sons and Managing Directors – G. R. ‘Ananth’ Ananthapadmanabhan and G. R. Radhakrishnan, GRT expanded its operations by opening showrooms in various parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bengaluru, and Puducherry, while also venturing into the international market with showrooms in Dubai and Singapore.
GRT opened two flagship showrooms in Chennai at North & South Usman Road with separate floors for Gold, Diamond, Platinum and Silver jewellery and Gemstones exhibits.

GRT Oriana
GRT Oriana caters to the needs of young women of ages 18-35. The collection features gold and diamond jewellery that can be worn as daily wear to offices, classrooms or parties. Oriana’s range of jewellery products can also be found at all GRT showrooms and online.
GRT Silversmith
GRT launched Silversmith to highlight its line of silver collections. GRT Silversmith collections includes a range of silver based ornaments or silver with semi precious stones, beads, miniature glass sculptures, pearl collections and gift options for any occasion.
GRT Samarpan
GRT also specializes in temple work in both Gold and Silver for various temples and deities under the name Samarpan. Some of GRT Samarpan custom made orders can be found in temples like Lord Malayappaswami kreedam, Shree Padmavathi Thayar - Abhaya Hastam, Sri Swamy Ayyapans - Kerala Vilakku .
