otherwise known as Economic Job Market Rumors or EJMR, is a website for academic economists. It

is run by "Kirk", ^[1] an alias possibly derived from Kirkland, Washington, the city in which the website is registered. ^[2] Like its sister sites Political Science Rumors and Sociology Job Market Rumors, EconJobRumors is only lightly moderated and preserves posters' anonymity. Among other denizens, it features a bear. EJMR was primarily a bodybuilding forum before it changed its target audience to economists who lift.
