Dark Parts is the upcoming third studio album by Scottish synthpop band Chvrches, released in 2017 by Virgin EMI Records and Goodbye Records.
It is the band's follow-up to their sophomore album, *Every Open Eye * (2015).
The lead single titled "Unchained" will be released in August 2016.

Background and development
Chvrches began work on their third album in January 2016 in New York City, Doherty said that the next record was starting to sound a lot more urban and varied.
Doherty states - "The sound has changed slightly, we wanted to see if it would differ deliberately for the better, we've been working on new sounds on the road for months and additionally Lauren's had vocal training over here in America, she sounds amazing... we're excited for this new direction".
