AskmeBazaar is an online marketplace founded in 2012. It is based in India and sells products across varied categories including lifestyle, fashion, home décor, electronics, auto and sports and health among others. It works on the concept of what it calls a marketplace, connecting the buyers and sellers at one place. The e-commerce player is owned by Getit Infoservices Private Limited and follow a vendor-managed inventory model. Background
AskmeBazaar was started by founder and CEO, Kiran Murthi, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. [2]

Funding
Ananda Krishnan's Astro Malaysia Holdings, a media and entertainment holding company located in Malaysia has been the chief investor for the E-commerce firm. In February 2016, AskmeBazaar planned to raise the second round of funding and had approached Chinese giant Alibaba Group and Chinese web services giant Baidu. [6]
