Alicia Roberts (born c. 1981) is a former Miss Philadelphia and current reporter and anchor for CBS News Atlanta.[1]
Roberts captured the title of Miss Philadelphia on March 15, 2003.[2] In June 2003, she placed as first-runner at the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant, earning more than $35,000 in college scholarships as part of the Miss America Scholarship Organization.[3] During her year of service, Roberts worked on the local, state, and national level promoting her platform, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Roberts attended Temple University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting [4] She earned her Master of Science degree from Drexel University, majoring in Public Communications.
Roberts joined WFLA-TV in Tampa, Florida, in October 2005,[5] as a reporter and anchor for the Emmy-winning News Channel 8 Morning Show.[6][7] From 2008-2010, Roberts was hired as an in-game host for the Tampa Bay Rays and was selected a "30 Under 30" by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. In 2011, WEWS-TV hired Roberts as a Morning Anchor.
A native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Roberts grew up in Feasterville. She graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 1999 where she was All-Catholic Track and Cross Country athlete.
Roberts currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
