Ahmed Abou Hashima is the CEO of Egyptian Steel group, Egyptian Media, ^[1] and the managing director of FE Steel. ^{[2] [3] [4]}

Hashima graduated from the Port Said University, Egypt. He was married to Lebanese entertainer Haifa Wehbe ^[5] in 2009. The couple divorced in 2012. ^[6] Hashima settled the divorce with his wife for a reported $30 million, money borrowed in part from the Muslim Brotherhood. ^[7]

Hashima, who is the CEO of Egyptian Steel and the owner of Egyptian Media, started out as a steel trader in the 1990s.

Hashima is a supporter of economic opportunities for Egypt, including an outreach for tourism ^[1] He was among the first to donate to the account 306306, which was created by businessmen to support the Egyptian economy after the 2013 Egyptian coup d'état. ^[1]

Hashima has taken part in a charity project called “Nahr El Kheir” which supplied 1,500 Egyptian homes in rural areas with clean tap water and sanitation; ^[1] and in the past has sponsored the Egyptian Football Paralympics team. ^[1]
