Products

The Agora.io SDKs enable mobile and web users to make, share screens, whiteboard, and use data channels to exchange files.

The company claims it can support as many as 2,000 users in a single session.

History

Agora.io, began as a startup called Agora Lab, is founded by communications veteran Tony (Bin) Zhao.

Before founding Agora.io in January 2014, he was the CTO of YY.com, a $3 billion NASDAQ listed social, gaming and entertainment company, supported over 400 billion VoIP call minutes a year in China.

In September 2015, Agora.io received a $20 million Series B investment from venture capital firms SIG China, MorningSide, GGV Capital, ShunWei, YY Inc. and IDG, led by SIG China General Partner Dan Yan, with a valuation at $100 million.
