Folk troubadour James the Giant digs deep with his debut EP. Piano and acoustic guitar give voice to folk melodies; drums and bass provide depth to the spectrum. James's voice floats effortlessly above yet remains full of feeling, at once harkening back to a past age, while firmly rooted in the present. Beautiful and pure ballads from deep within dance to life on James the Giant's self titled debut EP.
Born after the death of his younger brother in Afghanistan, the dissolution of his band, and the end of a long-term romantic relationship, James the Giant is a resurrection - a recommitment to life, to music, and to love. The songs embody the spirit that James himself carries into his everyday life. A commitment to honesty and an unwillingness to shrink from pain or fear.
The release of James the Giant's EP is still three weeks away and it's already getting good attention. The first single "Two Weeks on The Ocean" was exclusively premiered by USA Today ( http://bit.ly/JtGUSAtoday ) and several other outlets are lining up to support the full EP when it releases on July 23rd.
James the Giant will be touring nationally starting mid September. [+]
