Jack Parker was born in Seattle, WA in 1977. He was raised in a musical family with his Dad who played guitar, mandolin, upright bass, and trumpet, and who also played in a somewhat successful bluegrass band. His Mom played piano, and was a classically trained vocalist who also performed in many local theater productions when Jack was a young boy. Jack's uncle Phil was also a musician, and played drums with the likes of Ike & Tina Turner, Canned Heat, and Van Morrison. Jack was constantly surrounded by music growing up, so it seemed inevitable that he would study music himself. He started playing on his Dad's baritone ukelele at age 8, and by age 10 he was big enough to make the transition to acoustic guitar. He was performing by age 11, and made his first studio recording with his band Flounder by age 18. Since then he has played bars, coffee houses, theaters, auditoriums, and toured all over the country and the world with various bands, most notably as one of the founding members of the outlaw-country band Tumbledown, and as a touring member of the pop-punk band MxPx. Jack will be releasing his debut solo record titled HOMEGROWN in 2014.
