Based in Salisbury, Maryland, where the local music scene is on it's last leg at best, Hold It Down comes forth with nothing but ambition to find the elusive success in the industry that so many strive to reach.
While Salisbury is the band's home, our members come from all different cities scattered about Delmarva. What brought them together was the mutual drive to pursue music at a higher level.
"It all started with Grant and I," said guitarist Ryan Evans. "We were both in the same boat in which our previous bands had all fallen apart in some way or another more or less because everyone was on a different page."
In the summer of 2014, after spending a while discussing plans for a new band, Evans and Grant Dawson came together and began writing their first bit of material towards a debut EP. Rhythm guitarist Patrick Williams was added to the line up almost immediately at that point followed by Billy McClean, who plays drums for the band and our current bassist David Thompson.
After months of writing, practice, and rehearsal, they are currently in the studio with producer and audio engineer Andrew Baylis recording an EP to be released sometime in the first half of 2015.
Currently, originating member and primary songwriter of the upcoming Ep Ryan Evans left the band to pursue other interests. [+]
