Graham John Cawte is an [+] English actor, born in Fareham Hampshire in 1961 to John and Sheila Cawte, he has one brother, Andrew, two children, Kelly and Alexander, a stepson Justin, and five grandchildren.
Best known for his [+] [+] critically acclaimed performance in the [+] National Film Academy nominated Best Drama, and award winning film Little Pieces, and his 'Best Actor' award winning role in 'Emotional Motor Unit', Cawte has featured in over 100 films, also performing regularly on Stage and Interactive Theatre, Cawte is represented by [+] David Stinson of [+] The David Stinson Agency, and is a member of the actors union, Equity and The Actors Centre.
Cawte made his acting debut at the age of 5 as the lead in an inter schools competition playing 'The Sad Clown', a role he has played many times since.
Cawte has performed over 400 stage performances most notibably Droll and Folly Theatre's adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's literary classic, Heartbreak House, as Boss Mangan, Brannigan in Guys and Dolls and the fearsome Miss Trunchbull in Matilda.
Away from acting, [+] Cawte is also a qualified swimming teacher and coach, a former competitive swimmer, he has represented Great Britain at both World and European Masters Championships, and is a four times British Masters Gold Medalist, and runs his own swim school, 'Graham Cawte Total Swimming', he is also Head Coach of Bassett JSF Swimming Club in Southampton.
