Early Life and Education
Luzgin is originally from Vladivostok. He studied Theoretical physics as Far Eastern State University, Computer Science from San Francisco State, and earned his MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.
Early in his career, Luzgin was a Senior Member of Technical Staff for Oracle, Team Lead at EPAM Systems, and Senior Software Engineer at Guidwire Software.
In 2008, he became the Assistant Vice President of Deutsche Bank working in their Moscow and Frankfurt offices. Two years later, he moved back to California to become CTO of Art.sy, a startup that wanted to build the Pandora for fine art recommendations. During this time, he was also the Principal Engineer at Devicescape.
Luzgin moved to Utah in 2011 to become the Senior Software Engineer at Overstock. From 2012 to 2017, Luzgin was the Senior Software Lead at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He left the Fed in 2017 to become the Functional Architect of the Consensus Corporation.
Luzgin is active in blockchain particularly in EOS. Alongside Steve Floyd, he is the co-founder of the Block Producer candidate EOS Tribe. In addition, he is part of a number of EOS projects including organizing EOS SLC, the SES Network EOS Wallet project as well as the EOS Arrowhead and EOS Net Testnet.
