In a music world full of dance beats and rap hooks, David Lyve uses guitar screams and an unmatched singing ability to cut through the noise. RnB music has once again accepted a true singer/songwriter to its collection with this Richmond, Virginia native. “When you hear him sing you think, my God, I’m listening to an angel, when he plays guitar you think, my God, the emotion, the passion is vibrating through me, but when you see him perform you say, my God, thank you! (Carla Reed,BET).
David Lyve’s new single ‘Replaced’ off his upcoming sophomore album has currently been released and is gaining much attention. ‘Replaced’ and the upcoming album are written and produced by David Lyve with 90% of the instrumentation being played by David Lyve also. This new album should prove to have as much success and more as his first full length cd entitled, ‘Finding Love,’ which charted in over 7 countries and sold well over 20,000 units independently. David has prepared to travel the world with this new album release by opening up for artist such as Eric Roberson, Marsha Ambrosius, Syleena Johnson, and Fantasia, to name a few.
Playing guitar for Rahsaan Patterson gave David the idea to move to the tri-state area to, “be in an intensified music environment.” While participating in the ‘Made In America’ concert in Philadelphia, David began experimenting with bigger and broader sounds to match his emotional singing ability and that birthed ‘Replaced.’ David quotes, “this new project is coming from an incredibly honest place, I’m not trying to be anyone on this one, just giving you the absolute best of me, enjoy.” [+]
