Dallas Perez was a 21-year-old sophomore at Nova Southeastern University. He was a member of the Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball Team. Dallas considered his father, Mario his biggest influence because he instilled him with valuable lessons that he carried with him throughout his life.
Life and Education
Dallas attended American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida and was a standout in Football and Baseball. The Miami Herald named Perez All-County Second Team outfielder in 2013 and Honorable Mention in 2011 and 2014. Dallas' favorite memory from high school was winning a state championship in football.
Dallas played a year of football at Appalachian State University before transferring to Nova Southeastern University to pursue baseball. He was a Finance Major. On the field, Dallas had a knack for stealing bases and was a part of the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship Team.
Dallas is remembered for having an infectious smile and for always being there for his friends.
On December 18th at around 5:30 am, Dallas Perez was driving on I-75 in Florida when his vehicle clipped a maroon SUV in front of him. This caused his vehicle to slam into a concrete bridge support and burst into flames. Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
