Early
Born and raised in the city of Hawthorne, he has lived most of his life in Southern California. [2] He had mostly a Chicano upbringing and by the the age of 8 years-old, he started getting into music. [3] As a way to engage with his shyness, music became his source of expression. At 8 years old, he picked up guitar, later moving on to keys, drums, bass, French horn and trumpet. [4]

Music
Banos, at the age of 17, geared up for his first release in early January, 2015 under the moniker of Cuco. [6] The title of his earliest released on the internet is Heavy Trip EP. [7] On SoundCloud, the earliest song he released on the platform is a song called, "Yeah". [8] Since then he has released several EPs and mixtapes on both platforms - Soundcloud being the most recent. [9] [10]

His songs are filled with jazzy Synthesizers that release nostalgia-heavy tunes in the mode of modern Serenatas that he sings in both English and Spanish. [11]

Cuco has played live shows throughout venues in the Los Angeles area including selling out The Smell in June of 2017. [12]He has also played festivals in the area including, Beach Goth Music Festival. [13]
