Connie Overstreet Woolweaver was a 37-year-old mother and working woman from Homewood, Alabama. She is the mother of one daughter and one son Kate Ashton who is 7 and Chandler who is 13. Woolweaver is remembered for being an ambitious woman who was bold, honest and caring, and for being a loving mother to her children. 
Early Life and Education
Woolweaver grew up in Homewood, Alabama on the outskirt of Birmingham. She graduated from Homewood High School in 1997 and went on to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon completing her degree in early childhood education in 2001, Woolweaver began her career in the banking industry.
Woolweaver first started her career at Wachovia for 6 years before becoming a small business banker at Regions Bank in 2007. A year later, Woolweaver became Assistant Vice President at Renasant Bank. In January of 2011, Woolweaver became Controller & Director of Operations at Orange Development Inc.
On December 14th at 3:45 pm, Woolweaver's son walked into their home to find Woolweaver's body. Woolweaver and her family lived in a gated community. Police described the scene of the incident as "terrible" and are investigating it as a homicide.
