Cocina House is a project started by Valeria H. Dueñas focusing on Plant based, Gluten Free menus adjustable to different dietary styles. Her work consists of nourishing people with Whole foods from Indigenous Mexican flavors and herbs, California produce and native plants, and traditional superfoods. 
COCINA WELLNESS SHOP
Holistic wellness provisions and snack foods come directly from or are made with ingredients sourced from local artisans and conscientious fair trade producers located in Mexico and what is now called Latin America.
Concern is taken to work with healing intentions for those who eat the food, and to incorporate the healthiest possible methods and materials, from the use of cold pressed nut and seed oils, to choosing particular cooking temperatures and vessels.
Before starting this project, Dueñas dedicated several years to work with youth in low-income housing. Along with Undergraduate and Graduate studies in Communications, Political science, and Social entrepreneurship, Dueñas studied Holistic Nutrition and has supplemented that knowledge with training in Raw vegan cuisine and wild foods foraging. More importantly, knowledge was passed down from from her grandmother who carried rich food traditions from Northern Mexico, and her father, a self-taught chef and restaurant owner whose favorite ingredients were Chipotle Chiles and Cilantro.

Available for intimate gatherings of 10 to 50. Unique, seasonal menus can be customized for each event.
Ideal for businesses and organizations interested in casual weekday event and meeting catering. Set, seasonal menus including salads, layered bowls, and smoothies are available upon request.
Custom meals prepared in private homes for parties of 5 to 20.
Community Based Education
Workshops on plant based and whole foods nutrition and supplementation grounded in an understanding of common conditions and ailments, superfoods, returning to ancestral food practices, and support of more equitable food systems.
