Cameron Snead is a 16-year-old student at Penn High School. He originally hails from Granger, Indiana. Snead was a member of his school's baseball team and played catcher. He is remembered for his sense of humor, persistent work ethic, and for bringing joy to people's faces.
Snead was instrumental in setting up his neighborhood WiffleBall team with his friends, the Granger Panthers. Together they went on to win a major wiffleball tournament in Mishawaka, IN during the summer of 2016.
On December 20th at around 7:30 pm, Snead and his friend Brandon Campbell were driving on Buckeye road when Campbell lost control of the vehicle and slid into a tree. When the authorities arrived, they pronounced Snead dead at the scene and airlifted Campbell to a local area hospital. Police are investigating the incident.
A candlelight vigil is being held for Cameron on December 22nd at 7:00 pm at Penn High School.
