"A California boy with soulful southern twang!"
Bo knew he was meant to be a singer from the very first time he stood in front of a crowd, having signed himself up to sing in the Kindergarten talent show. He continued his love for music by performing in various capacities such as musicals, talent shows, and solo gigs all the way through high school.
Throughout his college years music became much more of a side hobby as Bo pursued his passion of athletics, playing college football for 5 years. Bo planned on continuing his career in football, beyond college, when he suffered an unfortunate back injury during his final year of play that would put an end to his days of scoring Touchdowns.
After receiving a Bachelors degree in Sociology at Occidental College, where he finished his Football career, Bo decided to make music his priority and attended the Los Angeles Music Academy – College of Music (LAMA) (Now The Los Angeles College of Music, LACM).
It was there that he learned to truly embrace his love for writing and performing. After finishing his schooling at LAMA, Bo began the journey of writing and creating his first EP, “The Hard Way.”
In 2012 Bo began touring all over and around Los Angeles as the front man for the band Southern Caliber. During his tenure with Southern Caliber Bo was able to play at some of the hottest bars, clubs and venues in the area including: Knott's Berry Farm, Toby Keith's Bar and Grill, Slidebar (Fullerton), Cowboy Country (Long Beach), Water Wheel (Norco), Cowboy Palace (Chatsworth), Starting Gate (Los Alamitos), etc.
A year and a half later, after finishing the recording and production of his first EP "The Hard Way", Bo decided to turn his focus to promoting and performing his own music. He now lives in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to write, create and adapt his storytelling craft, while playing both solo acoustic shows and with his self titled project The Bo Renaud Band. [+]
