Goyal attended the University of Maryland where he was involved in the Finance, Banking and Investment Society, an Equity Analyst for the Lemma Senbet Fund, and University Honors Program. He graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance.
Early in his career, Goyal had interned at Beacon Investment Advisors, Convergent Wealth Advisors, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Upon graduating, Goyal became an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America for two years. In 2012 at the age of 26, he became the youngest Senior Vice President at Starwood Capital and helped drive over $7 billion in deals for the firm.
