Saurabh Uboweja (born December 5, 1982) is the founder, CEO and chief brand strategist at Brands of Desire, a brand consultancy based in New Delhi, India.[3]

Career

Saurabh joined Citigroup as an investment counselor in 2006. He left to set up his own company, Brands of Desire, in 2008.[3]

In 2014, the consultancy won the Transform Europe Award 2014 jointly with HIRA Group and Tata Power DDL, respectively in the categories, "Best Brand Consolidation" (Bronze)[4] and "Best external stakeholder relations during a rebrand" (Highly Commended).

Besides starting his own venture, Uboweja co-founded Credihealth.com, a medical assistance company in 2014 with serial entrepreneurs Ravi Virmani and Gaurav Gaggar. He presently serves as a Director of the company.[5]

He is also a founding member of the World Communication Forum Association registered as a non-profit association in Davos, Switzerland and a member of their executive committee since 2015.[6]

Uboweja is currently a Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM-BG) and teaches strategic brand management.[7]

  • January 2016: Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Chanakya Award for National Achievers 2016 under the category "Most Promising Young Entrepreneur of the Year"[9]
  • March 2015: "Idea of the Future Award" 2015 at the World Communication Forum in Davos[10][11]
