Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson was born on April 3, 1998, in Beverly Hills, California. Jackson was named after the French city in which she was conceived. She is the middle child and only daughter of singer Michael Jackson and younger child of Debbie Rowe. She has one older brother, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (“Prince”) and one younger half-brother, Prince Michael Jackson II. Jackson was raised solely by her father, who received full custody rights following his divorce in 1999; Rowe had stated it was her intention and agreed upon with Michael that he would raise and have custody of the children. She grew up at Neverland Ranch with her siblings. Her father made Elizabeth Taylor, and Macaulay Culkin the godparents of her and her brother Prince. During her childhood, she and her siblings often wore masks during public outings with their father to hide their faces from the public.
In 2010, Jackson and her brothers gave an interview for Oprah Winfrey alongside their grandmother Katherine and their cousins about life after her father's death. She and her brother Prince also accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Grammy Awards on their father's behalf. She and her brother Prince became enrolled at the Buckley School, an exclusive private school in Sherman Oaks, California. There, she participated in flag football, softball and cheerleading until Jackson left the school in 2013.
Jackson was sexually assaulted at 14 by an older man she describes as a "complete stranger". This trauma, along with that of being cyberbullied, drove her to attempt suicide three times. After the last attempt, she was sent to a therapeutic school in Utah, where she spent her sophomore and junior year of high school, and which she credits with helping her overcome depression.
In 2011, Jackson signed on to star in the children's fantasy film, Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys, a story adapted from a book written by Dennis Christen. Ultimately, the film ended up in development hell.
Jackson, her two siblings and her grandmother Katherine made plans to put together a documentary film entitled Remembering Michael in remembrance of her deceased father. Costs associated with the making of the project was hoped to be funded via contributing fans through the crowdfunding site FundAnything. Due to the uproar from the fans and media sparked by this method, Katherine decided to shut down the campaign. In a sneak peek of the documentary, Paris remarked that her father had promised to teach her his famous dance move, the Moonwalk, but never had the chance. Since the shut down of the online campaign, no further updates have been reported concerning this project.
“RIP The HAWK. Joseph Jackson,” the 20-year-old model began a lengthy caption alongside an intimate photo that shows her holding her grandpa’s hand. “Spending those last few moments with you were everything.”
The daughter of the legendary late Michael Jackson added: “You are the first true jackson. the legend that started it all. none of us would be anywhere near where we’re at if it weren’t for you. you are the strongest man I know. your life’s work will go down in history, as will you, to be known as one of the greatest patriarchs to ever live.”
Paris later said that she “will cherish every moment with you til the day i die, especially our last moments. being able to hold your hand, lay with you and cuddle you, give you kisses all over your cheeks and forehead, meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”
She concluded: “My heart is full knowing we left each other in that way. i made you promise me you’ll come visit me. you agreed and i’m going to hold you to it. and i promised you that we will keep telling your story, over and over. to never be forgotten. my great grandchildren will know who joseph jackson is. i love you grandpa. so so so much that words can’t describe. i have immense gratitude for you, and always will. we all feel that way. thank you for everything. truly. rest in peace and transition. i’ll see you in my dreams very very soon.”
Paris Jackson Gets Restraining Order ... Against Alleged Stalker .
Paris Jackson went running to a judge for court-ordered protection against a guy she claims has been stalking her.
In court docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Michael Jackson's only daughter says a man named Nicholas Lewis Stevens showed up at a recording studio she was working at in June. Paris had a brief interaction with Lewis, who allegedly told her he'd stopped by the studio on multiple occasions ... once waiting for 15 hours for her.
According to the docs, Paris' friend also confronted Lewis, asking why he was there, to which he replied, "What the f*** does it look like I'm doing here? I'm stalking your bitch." The cops were called and they detained Lewis after he allegedly told Paris, "By midnight it will all be over ... the way it ends is with her or with a shotgun."
The docs say Lewis tweeted at Paris too, saying they were soulmates.
A judge sided with Paris and granted her a temporary restraining order. Lewis was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from her and cut any type of communication until a hearing later this month.
