Andrew East (born September 17, 1991) is an American football long snapper who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Vanderbilt.



Professional career

Kansas City Chiefs

After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, he signed with the Chiefs in May 2015.[2] He was released from the Chiefs on August 31, 2015.[3]

Seattle Seahawks

He signed a future free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks in January 2016.[4] He was waived on March 24, 2016.[6]

Oakland Raiders

He was signed by the Oakland Raiders on April 5, 2016.[6] He was waived by the team on August 29, 2016.[10]

Los Angeles Rams

On March 13, 2017, East signed with the Los Angeles Rams.[11] On May 3, 2017, he was waived by the Rams.[12]

Oakland Raiders (second stint)

On July 28, 2017, East was signed by the Raiders.[13] He was waived on September 2, 2017.[2]

Personal life

East is married to Olympic gymnastics champion Shawn Johnson. East and Johnson were engaged on July 24, 2015, at Wrigley Field during a Chicago Cubs game,[2] and were married on April 16, 2016, in Franklin, Tennessee.[2]
